BATH — Registration is under way for a résumé-building workshop to be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 19 at the Patten Free Library.
Enrollment is limited to 10 participants. Basic computer skills are a pre-requisite for registration.
“This is a great opportunity for job seekers to learn how to access and use several on-line résumé-building tools,” Patten Free library director Lesley Dolinger said in a release. “ We’ll walk participants through a full online course that’s available through Learning Express, a resource in the Maine State Library’s Public Library Information Commons. Everyone who enrolls should be able to finish a working draft of their résumé in two hours.”
Roberta Jordan, outreach and instruction librarian at Patten Free Library, will teach the course, assisted by other library staff.
To register, email Jordan at rjordan@patten.lib.me.us or call 443-5141 extension 25.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
