PORTLAND — Martin’s Point Health Care will offer three health education programs on Thursday.
A free public blood pressure screening will run from 11 a.m. to noon.
A cooking presentation about gluten free meals will be offered from noon to 1 p.m. The class will be taught by Martin’s Point dietitians in the Seabreeze Galley. Registration is required for this class. The class costs $8 and includes recipes and samples.
A diabetes support group will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This month’s topic is “Exercise: Developing a Walking Program.” Wendy Drew, a social worker and diabetes educator, facilitates the program, which is free to people with diabetes and their families. Registration is not required.
