MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — Court documents say the Vermont prep school teacher killed after she allegedly responded to a call for help from the man who used to plow her driveway suffered a severe beating.
And the details of a search warrant used by Vermont State Police detectives investigating the death of 33-yearold Melissa Jenkins indicated police found an empty stun gun box in the Waterford home of the two people charged in her death.
The Caledonian Record reports police also received permission to search a laptop computer and two cellphones belonging to 30-year-old Allen Prue and his 33-year-old wife Patricia. The Prues have pleaded not guilty to second degree murder.
