Lisbon lines up screening dates

LISBON — The Lisbon School Department will hold mandatory screening for children who will enter kindergarten for the 2012-13 academic year on May 7, 8 and 9 at Lisbon Community School, 33 Mill St.

Federal law requires that all incoming kindergarten age children be screened for possible disabilities.

An official birth certificate, Social Security number, current immunization record and documentation of a recent ( within one year) physical examination by an M.D., D.O., or nurse practitioner must be presented at registration.

A parent information night is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 25 in the Lisbon Community School Cafetorium.

Richmond to register fledgling students

RICHMOND — Marcia Buker School will hold kindergarten registration on June 1 for children who will be 5 years old by Oct. 15, 2012.

To schedule an appointment, call 737-4748. Students currently attending Marcia Buker’s preschool program need not call for an appointment.

Preschool screening and registration will take place June 4, 5 and 6. To enroll in the preschool program, children must be 4 years old by Oct. 15, 2012. Call 737-4748 to schedule an appointment.
