LEWISTON — Androscoggin Bank recently announced the recipients of three grants as a part of the ABCommunity grant program.
According to a news release, the awarded grants total $8,500 and benefit nonprofit organizations throughout Maine. ABCommunity grants are provided to organizations supporting community development and activities that benefit arts and culture, the environment, community health, strong neighborhoods and more.
Grants were awarded to: Museum L-A, “Power of Music” exhibit ($5,000); Wayside Food Programs, staff development ($2,500); and Lucid Stage, 2012 Creative Trails Theater Program ($1,000).
“The ABCommunity grant program continues to fund excellent nonprofit organizations here in Maine and we want to congratulate this year’s first round of recipients,” said Paul Andersen, president of Androscoggin Bank. “These grants will fund new projects as well as the important on-going work of these community-based groups.”
Grant applications are reviewed on a bi-annual basis, with the next round occurring in July. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, with the deadline for submission on July 2.
