LISBON — Members of Lisbon High School’s Interact Club attended a training session at the Greater Androscoggin
Humane Society on Feb. 9.
Volunteer coordinator Sandra Graul held the Feb. 9 class at the facility at 55 Strawberry Ave. in Lewiston.
After the training class, students presented a check for $300 to the society, the first of 11 nonprofit agencies targeted to receive donation assistance from the club’s recent $2,000 Teens Who Care Award.
Club members include Kyle Priddle, Kody Priddle, Morgan Reeves, Samantha Foote, Bryanna Sult, Melissa Hoskins, Kayla Angelico and Dillion Poole. Members plan to assist at the shelter as a group on a monthly basis and individually as needed.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
