HARPSWELL — The Moose Mountain Jazz Band will perform Saturday at Harpswell Community School to raise funds for Harpswell Community Bandstand Org.
The program of “Dixieland style music” will include a silent auction and refreshments, according to a release.
Harpswell Community Bandstand Org is a nonprofit organization created to raise funds for and to build a bandstand on land at Mitchell Field, the release states. All donations are tax-deductible.
Construction on the bandstand may commence as early as this spring, according to the release
The performance is scheduled to run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Harpswell Community School on Route 24.
Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door, and may be purchased from committee members Dan and Chris Huber, Linda Clement, Maryann Roark, Jill Kennedy, Fran Lofland, Robin Brooks or Bob and Hati Modr.
