FALMOUTH — The Oratorio Chorale will present “Hausmusik,” a benefit concert of vocal solos, duets and quartets at 3 p.m. April 1 at Falmouth Congregational Church.
Soprano Christina Astrachan and mezzo-soprano Jennifer Hansen will be joined by Timothy Neill Johnson, tenor, and John D. Adams, bass, all of whom perform regularly with the Oratorio Chorale.
Noted pianists Frank Glazer and Chiharu Naruse will accompany the four singers in a program of songs by Schumann, Faure, Brahms, and Copland.
The term “Hausmusik” has been associated with the chamber music of the Romantic Era, an area of special interest to the Oratorio Chorale’s guest musicians.
Tickets for Hausmusik cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Students will be admitted for half price. Children younger than 12 years old get in free.
