WEST BATH — The Over the Hill ATV Riders warn offroad vehicle operators that they should avoid posted trails during mud season.

The club posted trails in Bath and West Bath.

“These postings are part of an ongoing agreement with landowners, and are just one way for the users to show their appreciation to the landowners for allowing motorized vehicles the use of their land,” a release from the club states. “ The club has notified local law enforcement folks of this event.”

Club members also ask people who witness riders on posted trails to notify police of violations.

The club “wants to publicly thank their landowners for allowing us the privilege of using their properties,” the release states. “All must realize that access to private property is a privilege not a right.”
