TOPSHAM — Local American Legion posts will gather Sunday to honor several local veterans, some posthumously, and families for their service in the U.S. military.
The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post 202 on Foreside Road. Forty-four area veterans and families will be recognized with state of Maine Honorary Certificates of Appreciation.
American Legion Post 20 in Brunswick, in conjunction with American Legion Post 171 in Harpswell and American Legion Post 202 in Topsham, has honored 222 area veterans and their families.
