To the editor:
Wow, I am so proud of Angus King. He’s a man’s man — a person who instead of preaching, illustrates.
He illustrates with careful and meaningful plans.
It’s not possible in just a little letter to The Times Record to give details on King’s qualifications to be a U.S. senator. But who among Mainers with a few years under these pines can forget the contribution of his “computers for every seventh grader” plan.
Not only is he a premier citizen’s advocates, he showed the kind of foresight that few should forget. And he has a family just filled with similar Maine concerns.
I have lived in Brunswick since 1936, and I feel proud to advocate for our neighbor Angus King’s campaign to bring kindness and responsibility to the U.S. Senate.
Go for it, Angus!

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
