BRUNSWICK — An exhibit by the Merry- Meeting Art Association will open with a reception from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Thornton Oaks, 25 Thornton Way. The public is invited.
“The local group of artists works in oils, pastels, acrylics and watercolors,” a Thornton Oaks release states. “Founded in 1989, members meet monthly to discuss and critique their work; they host guest speakers who work with them on techniques.
The group’s purpose is “to provide mutual support and learning opportunities,” the release states. “They meet at 6:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month in the Community Room at 58 Baribeau Drive. Anyone interested in art, beginner or advanced, is invited to attend.”
Members exhibiting include Priscilla Belanger, Sharon Bond, Consuelo Bailey, Flo Carman, Sylvia Dyer, Carol Durgin, Marilyn Flanagan, Meridith Hicks and Lea Peterson.
