AUGUSTA (AP) — Maine Republican Party Chairman Charlie Webster has retained his position despite controversy over the state’s presidential caucuses.

Webster tells the Bangor Daily News he was pleased to have the support of many legislators and that he understood the frustration of some. He says his most important job is recruiting candidates and raising money.
