BATH — The Heart Healthy Cooking Class, featuring a totally plant-based diet, will be held at the Bath Seventhday Adventist Church on Tuesdays, March 20 and 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Dr. Gaylen Johnson and Kitty Johnson will be the presenting cooking demonstrations featuring quick and easy recipes. There will also be food samples, door prizes, and lifestyle and nutrition information.
“Kitty is renowned for her tasty yet healthy recipes,” states a release from the church.
Dr. Gaylen Johnson has been a practicing surgeon for many years and since retiring has devoted much of his time to health and wellness education.
He will present information on cardiovascular health and the benefits of exercise.
The church is located at 889 High St. For more information, or to register, call 729- 3505. The cost is $5 per class or $8 for both sessions.
