Tiger Woods and Tom Gillis by two strokes at

Notes: Woods has won the event six times — in
1999 at Valderrama in Spain, 2002 at Mount
Juliet in Ireland, 2003 at Capital City in Atlanta,
2005 at Harding Park in San Francisco, 2006 at

also won regular tour events at Doral in 2004
and 2006. Winless on the PGA Tour since September 2009, he has 16 WGC victories and 71
overall PGA Tour titles. … Phil Mickelson won in
2009. Taken to a hospital on the eve of the final
round because of heat exhaustion and dehydration, he parred the final seven holes to beat
Watney by a stroke. Mickelson won at Pebble
Beach last month for his 40th PGA Tour title. …
Hunter Mahan won the first WGC event of the
season, beating McIlroy two weeks ago in the
final of the Match Play Championship in Arizona. … Ernie Els won the 2010 tournament. …
