FALMOUTH — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension plans to offer two separate food safety training sessions to volunteer quantity cooks.
The classes are designed for volunteer cooks who prepare quantities of food for church gatherings, public meals and other similar events.
Among the questions that will be addressed are: How do you store all that food? When is the food completely cooked? How long can you leave food on the buffet table?
This workshop meets the Good Shepherd Food- Bank Food Safety training requirements. “Cooking for Crowds” classes will be offered from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 13, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. April 12.
Call 781-6099 to register and for location details. Cost is $10.
