To the editor:

On my way from Maine Street to Cook’s Corner, I often turn onto College Street. It is a beautiful area but traffic can be dangerous.

There is not enough light, especially when the days are short. The many big old trees throw their own shadows, and, naturally everybody is in a hurry, coming and going, at peak hours.

Some student bicyclists cross over the street at full speed. That, of course, is complete insanity.

All of us feel responsible for the safety of our students.

Can the college administration shed more light on his subject?
