PRESQUE ISLE (AP) — It’s down to finalists from Maine, Wyoming and Colorado in the search for a new president at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
The three finalists are Jon Connolly, vice president of academic affairs at Sheridan and Gillette Colleges in Sheridan, Wyo.; Linda Schott, dean of the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo.; and Michael Sonntag, provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
After the candidates meet with the college community, a finalist will be recommended to the university system trustees for approval.
UMPI President Donald Zillman is stepping down to return to his position as professor at the University of Maine School of Law in Portland.
