LISBON — The Town Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today at the town office.

Councilors will consider accepting one of two bids for lining 700 feet of sewer main. The lining will be done before paving this summer along Route 196. The work is funded as part of the 2011-12 sewer department budget.

Town Engineer Ryan Leighton recommends awarding the bid to the low bidder, Eastern Pipe Service LLC, for $26,950. The other bid, from Reynolds Inliner LLC, totaled $52,500.

Also as part of the sewer department’s 2011-12 budget, the sludge dewatering centrifuge at the treatment plant is scheduled to be disassembled and inspected, given its years of service.

GEA Mechanical Equipment bid $14,261.33 and is the original supplier, so the bid award is requested to go to this firm.

The town also obtained a bid from B&P Process Equipment and Services for $13,918.

The council also is scheduled to discuss the status of two buildings located at 16 Lisbon St. According to a letter to the property owner from Town Manager Steve Eldridge, the town has tried to contact the owner several times concerning the buildings at 16 Lisbon St. The letter states that lien processes for 2008, 2009 and 2010 have matured.

The March 1 letter also informs property owner James Labonte of Auburn that the council plans to discuss the status of the properties at today’s meeting.

The council also is slated to discuss the Lisbon Spirit of America tribute, the Recreation Committee, and hear a report from Eldridge, before entering three executive sessions to discuss personnel, labor and economic matters.
