NEW FACES

Amy Harris joined Coastal Women’s Healthcare as a certified nurse midwife. Harris had worked in the same capacity at Planned Parenthood of Northern New England in Portland.

Colleen Oakley joined BerryDunn as a technical writer in the firm’s marketing department. Oakley previously taught writing at universities in New York City and New Jersey and served as a managing editor in financial publishing at Bear Stearns.

D. Robinson Snow was named vice president, senior trust officer at Norway Savings Asset Management Group. Snow has more than 22 years of wealth management experience.

The following individuals joined Diversified Business Communications:

Matt Beaudet was hired as a junior help desk technician. Beaudet was previously employed with the University of Maine Police Department.

Erin Collins was hired as an operations coordinator. She was previously with Pierce Promotions.

Lindsay Aouled Ezzine was named a group show administrator. She previously worked for the city of Portland.

Ross Cunningham was named a practice manager of Mid Coast Medical Group – Women’s Health Care. Cunningham lives in Lisbon Falls, where he serves as chairman of the Lisbon Promotions Committee.

  Margaret Weston was named president of Maine Media Workshops + College. Weston worked previously at the University of Southern Maine, where she served as vice president of advancement and president and chief executive officer of the USM Foundation.

The Rev. Thomas McMurray, David Gregory and David Allie joined the staff at Cheverus High School in Portland.

McMurray was named director of mission and identity. He previously taught at-risk high school students in Kennesaw, Ga.

Gregory was hired to teach two theology courses and assist the staff in the department of instructional support.

Allie joined Cheverus to assist its help desk technicians in the information technology department. He was most recently employed as an information systems support specialist for the Maine Judicial Branch, Office of Information Technology.

Mark Tanous was hired as a senior account executive at FISC Solutions. Tanous has more than 20 years of experience in sales and sales management. He was previously vice president of a consulting firm.

  Alan Nye joined Robinson, Kriger & McCallum, Maine’s provider firm for LegalShield. He has been a lawyer for 31 years and continues to maintain a private practice in Portland.

Gary Soucy joined BerryDunn, CPAs and Management Consultants, as a senior consultant in the firm’s government consulting group. He was previously with Compass Business Solutions as a Cisco Telepresence Instructor.

Amanda Glidden joined Winxnet as a remote help desk specialist. Glidden has more than five years of professional IT experience. Most recently, she worked for Reben, Benjamin & March.

Michael Buescher joined Drummond Woodsum as a member of the firm’s trial services group. Buescher was previously a litigation associate at Cahill Gordon & Reindel in New York City.

Ann Marie Lynch joined BerryDunn as a senior business development specialist in the firm’s government consulting group. Prior to joining the firm, Lynch worked for Pen Bay Solutions.

Karen Huard was hired as a controller at Landry/French Construction in Scarborough. She has more than 17 years of experience in the construction industry.

  Julie Chew, Shawn Darling and Abby Perkins, all of South Portland, joined the staff at Bath Savings Institution at its new location on Ocean Street in South Portland.

Gretchen Kruysman joined Local Thunder as its president. Kruysman has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, strategy and entrepreneurial business leadership. Most recently, she co-founded and served as president of FetchDog.com.

Chantal Young also joined Local Thunder as a marketing manager. Young has more than 15 years of experience in retail marketing and digital and social media strategy. Most recently she was managing partner and buyer with CP Ventures, LLC.

Tucker Cianchette was appointed general manager at Casco Bay Ford. Cianchette of Cumberland  has 12 years of experience in the automotive industry, most recently with Ford.

The dealership also added four people to its sales staff. They include: Ben Seefeldt, Doug Millington, Dwayne Simonds and Pat Farrell

Dale Doughty was hired as a mortgage account officer at People’s United Bank. Doughty’s mortgage career began in 2008 at Apex Lending, Inc. Most recently, he worked with Reliant Mortgage Company, LLC.

PROMOTIONS

Nicholas J. Morrill was named partner with the law firm of Jensen Baird Gardner & Henry. Morrill is a member of the firm’s real estate and business services practice groups.

Erinn Tardiff was promoted to a personal lines account executive at Norton Insurance. Tardiff has more than 10 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been with Norton as a personal lines customer service representative for the past seven years.

Anne Marie McCoubrey was promoted to vice president and branch manager at Bath Savings Institution’s new location on Ocean Street in South Portland. McCoubrey of South Portland has worked at the bank’s Portland and Falmouth branches since 2002.

Miranda Stein, also of South Portland, was promoted to a customer service representative at Bath Savings. Stein was a teller in the Freeport branch for the past few years.

Michael Lapham, another longtime Bath Savings employee, was named senior teller.

Dr. Lori Parham was named director of AARP Maine. Parham began her career with AARP in 2004. Most recently, she served for one year as the senior adviser to the AARP executive vice president of the State and National Group in Washington, D.C.

AWARDS

Holbrook Health Center at Piper Shores in Scarborough received a high ranking of five stars overall in U.S. News & World Reports 2012 Best Nursing Homes. The ranking is based on information from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Nursing homes receive an overall rating of one to five stars from the government based on a composite score from three distinct operational areas: health inspections, nurse staffing and quality of care.

Jaimie Schwartz, a shareholder and chair of Bernstein Shur’s Real Estate Practice Group, was recently honored by the Maine Real Estate & Development Association with the Robert B. Patterson Jr. Founders Award. Schwartz has been part of MEREDA for more than 15 years.

Diane Moyer of RE/MAX Riverside was presented with the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes agents who have earned more than $3 million in commissions and have been with the company for seven years. Moyer has 28 years of experience in the real estate industry.

Bridgton’s Noble House Inn was recently named the top Maine Inn of the Year by Pamela Lanier’s Bed & Breakfast Inns, a comprehensive global travel planning resource directory of more than 45,000 boutique lodgings worldwide.

Tom Wilbur and Catherine Carty-Wilbur, owners of Wilbur’s of Maine Chocolate Confections, were awarded the Gowell Award by the New England Retail Confectioners Association.

Briane Johnston, a residential care assistant at Cape Memory Care in Cape Elizabeth, was nominated for the Assisted Living Federation of America Hero Award. Johnston of Yarmouth was recognized for her “dedication, passion and concern that makes life easier” for the clients she serves.

EXPANDING

Keller Williams Realty has opened its new Auburn business center at 195 Center St. in the River Cities Professional Center.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

David Sullivan, head of school at Breakwater School in Portland, was elected to the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Independent Schools. He has held his position at Breakwater since 2006.
