The USM softball team will host clinics for girls in grade 3 to 12 on March 4 and 17 on the Gorham campus. Each clinic will feature a pitching and defensive session from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and an offensive session from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The March 4 clinic will be for grades 3 to 8, and the March 17 clinic is for grades 9 to 12. For those who preregister, the cost is $30 for each session or $50 for the whole day. The fees on the day of the clinics are $35 for each session or $60 for the whole day. Youth Basketball of America will hold two tournaments for players in grades 6 to 12, on March 10 at St. Joseph’s College in Standish and on March 11 at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham.
