DURHAM — Police blamed slippery road conditions for a crash in which a pickup truck struck a house Tuesday night on Pinkham Brook Road.
The incident, reported at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, occurred at 82 Pinkham Brook Road, according to Lt. Glenn Holt of the Androscoggin County Sheriff ’s Department.
Dillon Peacock of Yarmouth was driving a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck north when the truck went off the road and struck the house, Holt said. The pickup truck sustained front end damage and the house sustained minor damage.
No one was injured. Holt said the crash was apparently caused by road conditions. No charges were filed.
According to Durham Fire Chief Bill St. Michel, about an inch of snow covered the road at the time of the crash. He believed the damage to the house was cosmetic, not structural.
Deputy Travis Lovering investigated the crash.
