HOUSTON – Luis Scola had 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Kyle Lowry added 13 points and two crucial three-point plays down the stretch Wednesday night as the Houston Rockets beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 93-87.
Kevin Martin scored 16 points and reserve Patrick Patterson added 12 for the Rockets, who have won three straight and snapped a four-game home-court losing streak to Philadelphia.
Nikola Vucevic scored a career-high 18 points and Thaddeus Young had 15 for the 76ers, who will head into the All-Star break on a five-game losing streak. The 76ers lost for only the second time in their past nine meetings with Houston.
Philadelphia was held without a 3-pointer for the first time this season, missing all nine attempts.
HORNETS 89, CAVALIERS 84: Chris Kaman scored 21 points and New Orleans held on at Cleveland.
Rookie point guard Kyrie Irving, who made several clutch plays in Cleveland’s back-to-back one-point victories against Sacramento and Detroit, was held to six points, tying his career low that occurred in his first NBA game Dec. 26 against Toronto.
KNICKS 99, HAWKS 82: Jeremy Lin had 17 points and nine assists, sitting out most of the fourth quarter as New York won at home.
Carmelo Anthony scored 15 points in his second game back from injury for the Knicks, who led the Hawks by 25 points at halftime. New York bounced back from a Monday loss to New Jersey and won for the ninth time in 11 games since Lin joined the rotation.
PACERS 102, BOBCATS 88: Tyler Hansbrough had a season-high 22 points and nine rebounds as visiting Indiana continued its dominance of Charlotte.
The Pacers have beaten the Bobcats nine straight times, including twice this week.
RAPTORS 103, PISTONS 93: DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points, Aaron Gray set season highs with 12 points and 12 rebounds and Toronto won at home to snap a three-game losing streak.
Leandro Barbosa scored 17 points, James Johnson had 15 and Amir Johnson added 11 for the Raptors, who had lost 7 of 8.
KINGS 115, WIZARDS 107: Marcus Thornton scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half, and rookie Isaiah Thomas had 16 of his 18 after halftime as Sacramento won at Washington.
Tyreke Evans added 22 points, 20 in the first half, and DeMarcus Cousins had 16 points and 16 rebounds for the Kings.
MAGIC 108, NETS 91: Dwight Howard had 20 points and 17 rebounds as Orlando won at Newark, N.J.
BULLS 110, BUCKS 91: Carlos Boozer scored 20 points, Derrick Rose and Luol Deng each added 16, and Chicago won at home.
TIMBERWOLVES 100, JAZZ 98: Luke Ridnour hit a floater in the lane at the buzzer, capping Minnesota’s comeback from 18 points down in the fourth quarter at Minneapolis.
WARRIORS 106, SUNS 104: Monta Ellis hit an 20-foot fadeaway jump shot with one second remaining as Golden State won at Phoenix.

Mavericks forward Lamar Odom was excused from the game against his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, to attend to a family matter. Derrick Rose of Chicago said his back is pain-free and he expects to play in the All-Star game this weekend. Portland is pursuing free agent Joel Przybilla, but a deal with the 7-foot-1 center would be contingent on a physical exam. New Jersey forward Kris Humphries missed the game against Orlando with a calf injury. Utah guard Raja Bell missed the game against Minnesota with a strained left adductor. New Jersey forward Shawne Williams had surgery to repair an old fracture and remove two small bone fragments in his left foot. He’ll miss the rest of the season. New York rookie Iman Shumpert pulled out of the slam dunk contest with an injury and will be replaced by Jeremy Evans of Utah.
