BATH — Police are investigating the death of a 17-year-old Bath male whose body was discovered early Sunday morning by his girlfriend in her High Street apartment.
Officers and Bath Rescue personnel responded at 9:07 a.m. Sunday to the Academy Green apartment complex after the 17-year-old female reported finding her boyfriend in the bedroom not breathing, Bath Police Lt. Stan Cielinski said today.
Police have not released the male’s name.
The female said that her boyfriend returned the previous evening and went to bed, and she found him the next morning, according to Cielinski.
The cause of death has not yet been determined, but Cielinski said, "We don’t believe there was foul play."
The male did not have any medical conditions that police are aware of.
Police await results from the state Medical Examiner’s Office.
Bath detectives continue to interview individuals who were with the male shortly before he returned home Saturday night.
