NEW FACES
• Patricia Aprile and Nicole Labbe-Trufant joined the board of directors for United Way of York County.
Aprile is president and chief executive officer of Goodall Hospital.
Labbe-Trufant is vice president for fiscal affairs at the University of New England.
• Daniel Merson was hired by Mercy Falmouth to specialize in internal medicine.
Merson, of Falmouth, previously worked at his own private practice in Portland and was active in the teaching program at the University of New England.
• The Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals hired Michelle Melaragno as its volunteer coordinator.
Melaragno, of Auburn, is a former manager at the Pineland Farms Equestrian Center and most recently served as the first chairperson of the all-volunteer Maine Equine Welfare Alliance.
• Karen Noyes Reiche has rejoined LandVest as a senior project manager.
Reiche has extensive experience selling properties from southern Maine to the midcoast region and the lake region, including Sebago and Long lakes.
• Jamie Burks joined Putney Inc. as senior director of marketing.
Burks was previously a senior product manager at Merial, where she developed the marketing plan for its Frontline brand.
• Brenda LeMay joined Ocean Renewable Power Company as vice president of finance and administration.
LeMay most recently led energy management and development efforts in Madrid, Spain, and California for EDP Renewables.
• Alina Richard was hired by BerryDunn CPAs, Portland, as a tax specialist in the firm’s tax consulting and compliance group.
Richard was previously with Atlantic Fund Services.
• Brad Bosse was hired as an account manager at Rinck Advertising, responsible for the accounts of Agren Appliance, AmTrak Downeaster, Bedard and The Public Theatre.
He is active in the community and currently serves as chair of the Dempsey Challenge Business Ambassador’s Committee.
• Bethany Snow, Jeff Howland and Luke Thomas joined Dream Local Digital as online marketing strategists.
Snow graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 2010 and began working with the American Civil Liberties Union of Maine. She’s based in Portland.
Howland worked in the industrial sector as a software engineer; and the financial and marketing sectors in a broad range of technology management and client support roles.
Thomas is a student at UMaine and has worked with brands like Angry Birds, Rockstar Energy Drink, Qdoba, and CollegeFest.
• Barbara Hocking joined Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth as chief operating officer and chief nursing officer. Hocking has an extensive background in hospital operations. She comes to Maine from Hospital Sisters Health System in Sheboygan, Wis.
• Katie Bernier was hired at Patient Advocates, LLC, as a communications specialist. Bernier will be responsible for creating and delivering communication materials to support the ability of patients to better use the various health programs offered by Patient Advocates.
• William White joined Norway Savings Bank as vice president, personal and small business development officer. White is a former general manager of operations at the Bethel Inn and Country Club and is also a previous owner and manager of the Sudbury Inn in Bethel.
• Steve Lycette joined Kennebunk Savings Insurance as vice president and account executive. Lycette was formerly a marketing representative with the Philadelphia Group of Insurance Companies.
BOARD APPOINTMENTS
• Dr. Mark Zajkowski of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in South Portland was elected to an eight-year term as a director of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is expected to serve as president in 2018-2019.
• Jason House, a vice president at Woodard & Curran, was elected to the board of directors of the National Ground Water Association’s Scientists and Engineers division. House is a hydrogeologist with more than 16 years of experience.
