BANGOR – John Murray scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as second-seeded Medomak Valley earned a 65-39 victory over No. 7 Oceanside in an Eastern Class B boys’ basketball quarterfinal Friday at the Bangor Auditorium.

Isaac Greenrose added 18 points for the Panthers (17-2), who advanced to the semifinals Wednesday against No. 3 Gardiner.

Shea Davenport and Alex Wallace each had nine points for Oceanside (12-8).

GARDINER 56, NOKOMIS 47: Senior forwards Alonzo Connor and Matt Hall combined for 23 points and 20 rebounds, helping No. 3 Gardiner (17-2) advance to the Eastern Class B boys’ semifinals.

With Nokomis focused on stopping Aaron Toman (14 points) and Matt Palmer (eight points), Connor and Hall stepped up, especially in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. Connor scored on a putback with 1:32 left in the fourth to tie the game at 47.

OLD TOWN 60, CAMDEN HILLS 57: Courtney Treadwell tied the game with less than a second left in regulation, and Ashley England scored eight points in overtime as the sixth-seeded Coyotes (14-6) beat the third-seeded Windjammers (15-4) in an Eastern Class B quarterfinal.

England finished with 19 points and Treadwell had 15, including her jumper just before the regulation buzzer.

Jordan Knowlton scored 23 points, and Sarah Steele and Taylor Porter each had 13 for Camden Hills.

CONY 57, BANGOR 47: Josie Lee, Mia Diplock and Melanie Guzman combined for 50 points as top-seeded Cony (19-0) advanced to the Eastern Class A semifinals at the Augusta Civic Center.

Diplock led the way with 25 points. Lee chipped in with 13 and Guzman added 12.

Katie Brochu scored 20 points to lead Bangor (8-12), which fell behind 22-6 in the first quarter.

EDWARD LITTLE 60, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 50: Tianna Harriman scored 10 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter as the second-seeded Red Eddies (16-3) survived a comeback bid by the seventh-seeded Broncos (10-9) in an Eastern Class A quarterfinal.

Edward Little led 31-14 at halftime, but Jordan Maxwell fueled a Hampden rally by going 5 for 5 from 3-point range in the third quarter. The Broncos closed to within two before EL regained control.

Ashlee Arnold led the Red Eddies with 17 points. Maxwell finished with 22 points for the Hampden.

SKOWHEGAN 56, MT. BLUE 55: Amanda Johnson scored 27 points and fed Chelsea Whittemore for a layup with 2.9 seconds left in overtime, giving the sixth-seeded Indians (12-7) a comeback win in an Eastern Class A quarterfinal.

After trailing by 17 points at halftime, the Indians fought their way back into the game behind some inspired defense and the offense of Johnson.

Gabby Foy led Mt. Blue with 17 points.
