TOPSHAM — The Board of Selectmen will start its meeting earlier than usual today to enter executive session to discuss a personnel issue.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p. m. in the first floor meeting room of the municipal building, 100 Main St.
After the executive session, Rod Melanson, the town’s assistant planner, is scheduled to give a Historic District Commission presentation, followed by a Comprehensive Plan Implementation Committee presentation.
Fire Chief Brian Stockdale will update selectmen on ordinance changes regarding the BOCA (Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc.) Code, Knox Box requirement and civil penalties for violations.
Selectmen are scheduled to consider proposed amendments to the dog ordinance. The board also will consider a proposal for a local option excise tax exemption for active duty military personnel.
Selectmen also are scheduled to consider entering executive session near the end of the meeting, first to deliberate over an abatement, and then to discuss a personnel issue.
