SOUTH PORTLAND — Work to repair a water main break on Broadway near Morse Street between Buttonwood and Carter is expected to cause traffic snarls throughout most of Wednesday.

Workers from Portland Water District are expected to be at the site until about 5 p.m., according to a press release from the South Portland Police Department. Commuters are urged to seek an alternate route.

A representative from Portland Water District said about 10 homes on Morse Street are without water.
