Glasier plans retirement as WCSH sports director
Bruce Glasier, a sports anchor at WCSH Channel 6 since 1977, will retire at the end of April, the station announced Monday.
Glasier, a Portland native and Portland High graduate, is a former Maine Sportscaster of the Year and also has been honored by the Maine Association of Broadcasters and The Associated Press.
Before joining WCSH, Glasier was a sportswriter for The Portland Press Herald.

BOYS’ HOCKEY: Sterling Weatherbie scored a hat trick to lead Cheverus (10-4) to a 7-4 win over Marshwood/Traip (12-5) at Dover, N.H.
Liam Fitzpatrick added two goals for the Stags, who took a 3-0 lead in the first period.
Corey Wright had a pair of short-handed goals for Marshwood/Traip.
• Shane Plummer scored two short-handed goals for Bonny Eagle (7-9-1) in a 5-1 victory over Westbrook (3-12) at USM Arena.
John Bagley and Jason Harmon added a goal apiece. Trey Arsenault had a power-play goal for Westbrook.
