BRUNSWICK — In addition to approving geographic boundaries for two proposed tax increment financing districts at Brunswick Landing and the Brunswick Executive Airport by an 8-1 vote, with District 4 Town Councilor John Perreault opposed, the Town Council on Feb. 6:

— Discussed the town’s action in evicting seven residents of a building at 77 Pleasant St. on Jan. 18.

— Voted unanimously to approve special amusement licenses for Bowdoin College, doing business as Bowdoin College Dining Service — Magee’s Grill and for the Brunswick Lodge of Elks 2043, doing business as the Brunswick Lodge of Elks, 179 Park Row.

— Held a public hearing regarding an amendment to the Marine Resource Ordinance that was approved unanimously on an emergency basis at the council’s Jan. 17 meeting.

— Held a public hearing and approved zoning ordinance amendments to increase the number of allowable Maine Department of Transportation official business directional signs from two to four. The council voted 8-1 vote, with District 2 Councilor Ben Tucker opposed.

— Voted unanimously to table discussion about whether the Town Council should draft a letter to the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority that would ask the state rail authority to use Maine Department of Environmental Protection standards in the construction of a 60,000- square-foot train maintenance depot planned for a site south of Pleasant Street between Union and Stanwood streets.

— Voted 7-2 to renew an agreement between the town of Brunswick and the Brunswick Downtown Association to sublease the Brunswick Station Visitors Center to the BDA. Atlarge Councilor Benet Pols and District 7 Councilor Sarah Brayman voted against the proposal.

— Voted unanimously to set a Feb. 21 public hearing regarding the town’s application for a federal Community Development Block Grant on behalf of Integrated Marine Systems.

— Voted unanimously to allow council chairwoman Joanne King to make appointments to the town’s Capital Improvement Plan committee.
