BRUNSWICK — Wild Oats Bakery and Café in the Tontine Mall on Maine Street plans to host a fundraiser for Brunswick’s after school-programs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
A portion of all proceeds from the day’s events will support the Riverview- Brunswick 21st Century Community Learning Center, which provides after-school, vacation and summer programming for low-income and academically low- performing third- through eighth-graders in Brunswick.
The fundraiser is free and open to the public. Activities will include raffles, coupons, slide shows and videos of Riverview’s youth and adult programming.
Early orders for Sunday pick-up can be placed by calling 725-6287 or going online to www.WildOatsBakery.com.
Youth Horizons, Riverview’s umbrella youth programs initiative, received the Exemplary Afterschool Program Award by the Maine After School Network in November 2011.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
