AUGUSTA — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee boys dropped a recent 50-25 basketball decision to Cony.
The Eagles trailed 13-10, 26- 16 and 39- 22 at the quarter breaks.
Mason Griffin paced Mt. Ararat with seven points, while Cony’s Brandon Elwell, Mitch Bonefant and Charlie Hallak each had eight points.
Mt. Ararat was seven of 15 at the foul line and Cony eight of 12, while the host Rams led in rebounds, 37-30.
Griffin also grabbed six caroms, and Joe Thomas and Gabe Pelletier four each.
On Tuesday, Mt. Ararat lost to Lewiston 74-33.
The Eagles trailed 16-5, 35- 18 and 48- 26 at the quarter breaks. At the foul line, Mt. Ararat was three of 10 and the Blue Devils 12 of 22.
Griffin Stockford scored seven points and Joe Thomas added six for Mt. Ararat, while Lewiston’s Hussein Abdillahi had 11 and Dennis Graef nine.
Thomas also grabbed six rebounds and Jordan Castonguay added five as Mt. Ararat was outrebounded, 31- 20.
Mt. Ararat is scheduled to host Brunswick on Thursday.
