BATH — The Morse High School jayvee girls basketball team nipped Lincoln Academy 38-28 and lost to Gardiner 63-36 in recent action.
Against Lincoln Academy, Morse led 11- 10, the teams were tied at 16 at the half and Morse went up 28-18 heading into the final period.
At the foul line, Morse was 12 of 28 and Lincoln Academy 10 of 22.
Morse’s top scorers were Ruth Nadeau with eight points and Miracle Tremble with six. Morgan Cram was a defensive standout.
Lincoln Academy’s Dani Pierce had 11 points.
In Bath on Friday, Morse trailed 18-11, 35-18 and 49-28 at the breaks. Morse was 12 of 20 at the line and Gardiner 12 of 19.
Jacelyn McNeill led Morse with 11 points, while Megan Hixon had seven and Nadeau five. Paige Martin played well defensively.
