KITTERY — Alison Furness scored 13 points, and Abby Moody and Stephanie Woods each hit a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter as Wells earned a 42-37 win over Traip Academy in a Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball game Monday night.

Wells (13-4) trailed 30-29 entering the fourth quarter.

Selena Lorrey led Traip (9-8) with 11 points.

BOOTHBAY 52, WINTHROP 19: Alexandra Clarke scored 12 points to pace the Seahawks (10-7) to a win over the Ramblers (0-17) at Winthrop.

Allison Crocker chipped in with 11 points, and Meghan Smith scored 10 points and anchored the inside game along with Clarke.

SACOPEE VALLEY 30, HYDE 14: The Hawks (6-10) held Hyde (0-16) to two points in the first half on their way to a win at South Hiram.

Cassandra Miner led Sacopee with eight points. Hyde’s Kathryn Comeaux finished with 12 points.

VALLEY 44, PINE TREE ACADEMY 24: Hali McQuilkin scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers (5-13) a win in Bingham.

Jen Hovey added seven points, 11 rebounds and four steals.

Rebecca McGuire led Pine Tree (4-10) with nine points.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 73, LAKE REGION 57: The Raiders (7-10) made three 3-pointers to open a 17-8 lead in the first quarter, and Djordje Obradovic scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half to keep Fryeburg in control against the Lakers (3-14) at Naples.

Mike Costa contributed 12 points, including two 3-pointers in the first quarter. Walker Mallory added two 3-pointers in the second quarter as Fryeburg extended its lead to 14 points.

The Raiders also got 14 points from Bright Amoako. Mallory finished with 10 points.

Alexander Hartford had 19 points for Lake Region.

BOOTHBAY 54, WINTHROP 38: Ben Woodin scored 12 points and Ben Dickinson had 11 to lead the Seahawks (13-4) to a win at Winthrop.

Taylor Morang led Winthrop (2-15) with 21 points and five assists.

HYDE 52, SACOPEE VALLEY 35: Warsame Mohamed scored 18 points to lead the Phoenix (14-1) over the Hawks (5-11) at South Hiram.

Mike Anderson had 19 points for the Hawks, who kept pace with Hyde through the first half. But Mohamed scored 10 points in the third quarter, as the Phoenix pressed and began to score off turnovers.

Tyquan Ekejiuba finished with 10 points for Hyde.

VALLEY 74, PINE TREE ACADEMY 34: Josh West scored 15 points as the Cavaliers (14-4) beat the Breakers (2-15) at Bingham.

Carrington Miller added 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and Caleb Wade scored 13 points.

Zack Wilday led Pine Tree with 17 points. Christian Alicea scored 11.

CHEVERUS 5, KENNEBUNK 4: Sterling Weatherbie and Liam Fitzpatrick each scored twice, and the Stags (8-4) survived a third-period comeback bid by the Rams (9-4) at Biddeford Ice Arena.

Kennebunk trailed 3-0 entering the third period, and Mark Snyder’s goal with 7:47 left gave Cheverus a 5-2 lead. Ben Bath and Ned Richard scored in the final two minutes for the Rams.

Charlie Merry finished with a goal and two assists for Kennebunk.
