NEW FACES

Harold Flachsbart joined Northeast Laboratory Services as director of its environmental chemistry department. Flachsbart has more than 20 years of experience in the analytical chemistry industry.

Sarah Olney was hired at Kennebunk Savings to work in its residential and consumer loan areas assisting customers who are having difficulty making their regular loan payments. Olney previously worked for Residential Mortgage Services in South Portland.

Diane Woodworth was hired as a development director at Spectrum Generations.

Woodworth is a certified fundraising executive with more than 25 years of experience. She was recently the director of development for the New Hampshire Humanities Council in Concord, N.H.

Julie Sexton was hired as a manager of volunteers and grant writer at Spectrum Generations.

Sexton, of Winthrop, had worked at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington as the development assistant.

Dr. Rita Kamra Paquin joined Mercy Health System of Maine to practice family medicine at Mercy’s Windham Primary Care. Paquin practiced medicine locally for seven years, moved to Michigan, and returned last summer.

Louis Hanson, D.O., joined Mercy Yarmouth Primary Care. Hanson, of Durham, practiced medicine in Cumberland for 32 years.

PROMOTIONS

Ashlee Marston of Community Credit Union was promoted to operations support. Marston, of Lewiston, joined the credit union last year as a member representative.

Adam Johnson was promoted to a senior manager and Kevin Brunelle and Mike Kelly were promoted to seniors.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Dr. Neil Korsen was recently appointed to chair the national Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s Expert Panel on Integration Quality Measures.

Korsen, of Steep Falls, is the medical director of the MaineHealth Mental Health Integration Program.

Mark Stadler was elected to the board of directors for the Friends of Maine Seabird Islands. Stadler recently retired from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. He is a certified wildlife biologist and a licensed professional forester.

RETIRING

Cindy Norton of Rockland is retiring from Allen Insurance and Financial after a 47-year career in the local insurance business.

Norton managed the company’s Rockland office and served as a customer service representative.

GENERAL

The Gelato Fiasco has opened a new store at 425 Fore St. in Portland.

The Gelato Fiasco features a rotating selection of 30 flavors of gelato and sorbetto made fresh daily. The store also offers slow-poured coffee, a full espresso bar, and a variety of fancy desserts, such as salted caramel sundaes and cookie panini gelato sandwiches.

Its flagship store is in Brunswick.

• Dream Local Digital, LTD, a Maine-based digital marketing agency, has acquired Mindboom Media and Mobile Marketing of Maine, two Bangor-based companies serving small-medium businesses with social media, lead generation, and local search marketing services for small businesses.

The merged company will operate as Dream Local Digital.
