FALMOUTH – Alison Furness hit a free throw with 3.9 seconds left to give Wells a 39-38 win over Falmouth in a Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball game Friday night.
Mariyah Heath scored 15 points and Jeni Wallingford had 10 for the Warriors (12-4).
Laney Evers had 16 points for Falmouth (8-8), including a tying basket with 28 seconds left. Anna Hickey added 10 points.
MCAULEY 64, WESTBROOK 34: Allie Clement finished with 16 points and Olivia Smith added 14 to lead the Lions (15-0) past the Blue Blazes (8-8) at Portland.
Alexa Coulombe and Sadie DiPierro chipped in with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Jessica Harris paced West-brook with 12 points.
THORNTON 47, CHEVERUS 40: Olivia Shaw scored 21 points for the Golden Trojans (9-7) against the visiting Stags (11-5) at Saco.
Kylie Libby scored 11 points and Georgia Ford finished with 10 for Cheverus.
SCARBOROUGH 61, BONNY EAGLE 31: Maria Philbrick, Taylor Leborgne and Courtney Alofs scored 10 points each as the Red Riots (15-1) used a 23-9 surge in the third quarter to outpace the Scots (6-10) at Scarborough.
DEERING 46, GORHAM 33: Marissa MacMillan had 14 points to lead Deering (12-4) over visiting Gorham (7-9).
Ella Ramonas added 11 points for Deering. Gorham’s Kristin Ross scored 17 points.
WAYNFLETE 69, NYA 43: Leigh Fernandez scored 16 points to pace four Flyers (8-7) in double figures against the visiting Panthers (9-7) at Portland.
Martha Veroneau added 13 points and eight assists, Helen Gray-Bauer had 12 points, and Catherine Veroneau finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Waynflete, which led 27-12 after one quarter.
Morgan Scully had 21 points and Charlotte Esancy scored 10 for NYA.
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 60, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 40: Haley Cote scored 10 of her 15 points in the third quarter as the Patriots (9-7) used a 26-7 run to open a 50-29 lead over the Raiders (5-11) at Gray.
Skye Dole had 12 points for Fryeburg.
SOUTH PORTLAND 40, NOBLE 26: Danica Gleason and Brianne Maloney each scored 14 points for the visiting Red Riots (7-9) against the Knights (2-14) at South Portland.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 47, SACOPEE VALLEY 24: Christina Coleman finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds as the Seagulls (10-6) beat the Hawks (5-10) at Old Orchard Beach.
SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 40, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 23: Ruth Towne scored 10 of her 12 points in the second half as the Guardians (14-3) pulled away from the Lions (7-7) at South Berwick.
MEDOMAK VALLEY 58, LINCOLN ACADEMY 39: Mallory Conary scored 15 points, and Taylor Simmons and Alanna Vose each had 12 as the Panthers (11-5) handled the visiting Eagles (0-16) at Waldoboro.
BOOTHBAY 61, LISBON 43: Meghan Smith scored 20 points to lead the Seahawks (9-7) past the Greyhounds (7-9) at Boothbay Harbor.
GARDINER 53, MORSE 33: Katie McAllister scored 12 points, and Kelly Macomber had five points, 10 rebounds and six blocks for the Tigers (14-2) in a win over the Shipbuilders (7-9) at Bath.
