Traffic on the Route 1 northbound lane was shut down for about an hour following a one-car crash underneath the Route 196 underpass at 8:10 p.m. Friday.
Brunswick Police said driver David LaFave, 36, of Brunswick was operating a Ford Mustang. He was treated for minor injuries at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
LaFave was later charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, operating after suspension, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and violation of bail conditions.
