TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High school jayvee girls basketball team split two recent games.
The Eagles beat Erskine Academy 37- 26. Mt. Ararat trailed 8-4 after one quarter, but led 16-13 at the half and 38-19 after three.
Christine Levesque led with seven points, and Rebecca Schuman and Lyndsey Cornelison had six each.
At the foul line, Mt. Ararat was three of eight and Erskine three of eight.
Mt. Ararat lost to Skowhegan 33-28, despite leading 7-6, 17-10 and 23-19 at the breaks.
Sierra Gilley had seven points and Cornelison six.
Mt. Ararat, now 8-7, was six of 12 from the line and Skowhegan five of five.
