The University of Southern Maine baseball program will hold its annual pitching, hitting and defense clinics for players ages 8 to 18 on Feb. 19 and 25 at the Costello Fieldhouse in Gorham. Pitching and defense clinics will run from 9 a.m. to noon, and hitting clinics run from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost is $30 for a half day or $50 for the whole day if paid in advance, or $35 or $60 at the door. Maine Elite Lacrosse is forming a league that will play Sundays in March at the Riverside Athletic Center. The league will be open to boys’ high school players and teams.
