AUBURN — The Bath Middle School eighth-grade boys basketball team was outscored 20-10 in the third quarter in a 60- 47 loss to Auburn on Monday.
Auburn led 14- 12 after a quarter, but the Destroyers pulled into a 26-26 deadlock at the break. Auburn claimed control in the second half, taking a 46-36 lead through three quarters.
Zach Garvey had 12 points, and Ayden Brillard and Justin Johnston 11 for Bath. Brendan Harper and Juwan Moore were strong on the glass with six rebounds each. Alex Ewing was a defensive standout.
