SOUTH CHINA — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee boys basketball team fell to Erskine Academy 55-41 on Monday.
The Eagles trailed 14-6, 31-17 and 43- 31 at the quarter breaks.
At the foul line, Mt. Ararat was eight of 32 and Erskine 15 of 26.
Jake Demosthenes led Mt. Ararat with 15 points, while Devin Monteiro had seven. Erskine’s Caleb Rivera led with 17 points and Shawn Soucie added 13.
Joe Thomas and Demosthenes paced Eagle rebounders with five each as Mt. Ararat led 25-19 overall. Also playing well for Mt. Ararat were Nick Graney and Zach Miller.
