ROCKLAND — The Morse High School girls freshman basketball squad fell to Oceanside 51-35 on Saturday.
Morse trailed 15-11, 25-21 and 34-26 at the quarter breaks, and was nine for 18 at the foul line.
High scorer was Ruth Nadeau with 12 points, while Kate Dube, Cordelia Leeman, Jacelyn McNeil, Miracle Tremble and Julia Hart all had four and Micaila Barone three.
“ We came out strong from half time,” said Morse coach Amanda Shorey. “But, then our defense slipped and the fouls sent them to the line and at the same time our layups weren’t falling.”
Morse’s last game is Friday at home against Gardiner.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
