NAPLES — Kelsey Winslow had 15 points and eight rebounds Tuesday night to help Lake Region recover from its first loss of the season with a 56-34 victory against Falmouth in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl basketball game.

Sydney Hancock added 11 points with four steals and three assists, and Allison Clark had nine points on three 3-pointers for Lake Region (14-1), which led 31-13 at halftime. Tiana-Jo Carter added 19 rebounds.

Anna Hickey led Falmouth (8-7) with 16 points.

 

MCAULEY 55, SOUTH PORTLAND 24: Alexa Coulombe scored 16 points and Allie Clement added 12 to lead the Lions (14-0) past the Red Riots (6-9) at Portland.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 48, BUCKFIELD 24: The Panthers (9-6) came up with 28 steals against Buckfield (4-12) at Yarmouth.

Mallory Ianno had six steals, and Charlotte Esancy and Morgan Scully added five apiece for NYA.

 

WESTBROOK 35, THORNTON ACADEMY 34: Ashlee Richards was 3 of 3 from the foul line in the fourth quarter to keep the Blue Blazes (8-7) on top of Thornton Academy (8-7) at Westbrook.

Westbrook led the entire game but the Trojans made a strong push in the fourth. Meghan Agger hit a 3-pointer with 1:06 left to cut Westbrook’s lead to one and Olivia Shaw hit a half-court shot at the buzzer to put the Trojans within one again.

YORK 48, TRAIP ACADEMY 20: Emily Campbell scored 19 points, and Madeline Leroux, Marquis MacGlashing and Andrea Mountford added seven each to lead the Wildcats (12-3) past the Rangers (9-6) at York.

Selena Lorrey paced Traip with 13 points.

 

PORTLAND 51, NOBLE 49: Brianna Holdren finished with 19 points, including two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, and Sydney Levesque added eight points and 10 rebounds to help the Bulldogs (2-13) edge the Knights (2-13) at North Berwick.

Chandler Waterman paced Noble with 17 points and 14 rebounds, and Brittany Racicot added 14 points.

BONNY EAGLE 52, BIDDEFORD 47: Shannon Sanborn scored eight of her 17 points in the fourth quarter and overtime as the Scots (6-9) rallied from a 38-33 third-quarter deficit and downed the Tigers (3-12) at Standish.

Sanborn made a free throw with 10 seconds left in regulation to tie it. Alicia Hoyt added 13 points for Bonny Eagle, including four in the fourth quarter.

 

CHEVERUS 67, KENNEBUNK 44: Georgia Ford finished with 18 points, Alexandra Palazzi-Leahy added 10, and Brooke Flaherty scored eight points with 10 rebounds to lead the Stags (10-4) past the Rams (1-14) at Portland.

Samantha Carey scored 10 points and Jennifer Davis had nine for Kennebunk.

FREEPORT 59, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 48: Freeport (6-9) cruised to a 35-11 halftime lead behind six 3-pointers and downed the Raiders (5-10) at Fryeburg.

Nina Davenport scored 18 and Leigh Wyman added 17 for the Falcons. Skye Dole had a game-high 21 points for Fryeburg.

 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 48, POLAND 33: Maria Valente scored 18 points for the Patriots (8-7), who pulled away in the third quarter against the Knights (5-10) at Gray.

Valente had six points and Haley Cote added eight of her 12 in the third, when the Patriots outscored the Knights 19-9 after leading 17-14 at halftime.

MARSHWOOD 64, GORHAM 52: Kayla Rackley scored 20 points, including six 3-pointers, as the Hawks (12-3) downed the Rams (7-8) at South Berwick.

Rackley hit five 3-pointers in the first half – three in the second quarter as the Hawks broke a 15-15 tie with a 22-11 run.

 

SCARBOROUGH 64, MASSABESIC 53: Ashley Briggs scored 18 points, Mary Redmond added 17 and Maria Philbrick finished with 12 as the Red Storm (14-1) handled the Mustangs (4-11) at Waterboro.

 

MT. ARARAT 33, SKOWHEGAN 29: Mallory Nelson had 10 points and the Eagles (10-5) led the whole way against the Indians (10-5) at Skowhegan.

WELLS 40, CAPE ELIZABETH 36: Alison Furness and Mariyah Heath had 10 points apiece for the Warriors (11-4) against the Capers (3-12) at Wells.

 

ST. DOMINIC 45, WISCASSET 33: Mary Caron scored 14 points for St. Dominic (5-9), which took an 18-6 first-quarter lead at Wiscasset (2-13).

 

GREELY 56, YARMOUTH 43: Ashley and Jaclyn Storey finished with 19 and 13 points as the Rangers (12-3) downed the Clippers (6-9) at Yarmouth.
