BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin junior point guard Kaitlin Donahoe has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Donahoe scored 16 of her game-high 23 points in the second half to help the Polar Bears recover from an 11-point halftime deficit and down Colby, 64-52. She hit six-of-10 shots, making all three 3-point attempts, and went eight-of-10 at the line. She finished Bowdoin’s 2-0 week averaging 13 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
The junior is enjoying the best season of her collegiate career, averaging 11.2 points, 3.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds per contest. The Polar Bears will take to the road for an important NESCAC weekend at Middlebury and Williams this Friday and Saturday.
