PORTLAND — New England based Baker Newman & Noyes, an accounting and consulting firm, recently announced that M. Jean McDevitt and Jeff Skaggs have been promoted to principals of the firm.
Both are based out of the firm’s Portland office, according to a news release.
McDevitt is being promoted to tax principal. McDevitt joined Baker Newman Noyes in 2001 and has been a senior manager since 2005. Since that time, she has built a successful practice working with individuals in the areas of tax, estate and personal financial planning.
McDevitt earned a bachelor of arts degree from Tufts University, and a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law.
Skaggs is being promoted to audit principal. He became a senior manager of the firm in 1998 and throughout his career has provided audit services to financial institutions, not-for-profit and employee benefit plan clients.
Skaggs holds a bachelor of science degree, with honors, in accounting from the University of Maine at Orono, according to the release.
