BRUNSWICK — Vox Nova Chamber Choir, a Mid-coastbased ensemble dedicated to the creative exploration of contemporary vocal music, will present “In Song: Sacred and Profane,” a concert of modern choral music, at 3 p. m. Sunday in Studzinski Auditorium on the Bowdoin College campus.
“The program showcases stylistic juxtapositions around themes that generate strong emotions for both performers and audiences,” a Vox Nova release states. “Composers featured include Eric Whitacre, Morten Lauridsen, Einojuhani Rautavaara, and Edwin Fissinger, among others.”
Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased online at voxnovachoir.com or at the door.
Vox Nova Chamber Choir was founded in 2009 and features members of the Maine Midcoast musical community, including Bowdoin College faculty and alumni.
