HALLOWELL — Wellknown Maine personality and musician Martin Swinger will perform songs from his latest CD, “Moon,” and old favorites during a show that starts at 8: 15 p. m. Monday at Slates Restaurant on Water Street.
Since releasing “Moon” last spring, Swinger has won the eighth annual North Atlantic Song Competition and has enjoyed recognition by having songs from “Moon” featured on The Dr. Demento Show, The Midnight Special from Chicago, Hootennanny Cafe from New York and WERU radio. He recently completed a concert tour of New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Texas, Georgia, Maine and New Hampshire to promote “Moon,” his fifth solo release.
Swinger recorded “Moon” in Ed Desjardin’s Readfield studio and had the CD manufactured in Vassalboro at Klarity Manufacturing.
Desjardin will join Swinger for Monday’s show.
“With acoustic guitar, keyboards, cajone and rich vocal harmonies, they’ll share award- winning songs from “Moon” and beautiful songs from Ed’s latest CD, “Innerspace,” a release announcing the concert states.
