EXETER, N.H. — The Hyde School- Bath indoor track team competed in a threeteam meet against Phillips Exeter Academy and Governors Academy on Wednesday.

The Phoenix were low on numbers, with 14 competitors heading to the meet, while Phillips-Exeter had over 90 athletes and Governors 30.

Phillips- Exeter captured the boys meet with 101 points, with Hyde in second with 14 points and Governors with 13. The hosts also won the girls competition with 81 points, compared to 41 for Governors and four for the Phoenix (just three participants).

Dexie Cercos was the lone scorer for Hyde in the girls meet, taking third place in the 50-yard hurdles (8.4) and third in the 300 ( 44.6). Xi Wang was seventh in the mile (6:49.4) and sixth in the 1,000 (3:34.9), while Erica Corley took fifth in the two-mile run (15:59.3) and 10th in the one mile (7:36.5).

Ben Webber highlighted the Hyde boys with his secondplace showing in the 300 (37.4) and third place in the 50 (5.9). Isaac Pfosi also earned a runners up showing in the high jump (5-0) and placed fifth in the 600 (1:32.7).

Freshman Alexi Philippousis was fourth in the shot put with a personal- best heave of 31-0. He also scored in the high jump with a leap of 4-10 for third place, while the4x400relaysquadwas second in 4:20.5.

Hyde is slated to participate in a Western Maine Conference meet at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham today at 4:30 p.m.
