BRUNSWICK – The Brunswick High School freshman boys basketball team improved to 9-1 after recent wins over Cony and Lawrence.
The Dragons beat Cony 53- 50. Alex Bandouveres scored the key hoop when Brunswick was down one point in the final minute of regulation. Bandouveres and Pearson Cost each had 16 points in the game. Cody Libby played well overall and had seven points. Taran Payne was a defensive standout.
Brunswick rolled to a 64-45 victory over Lawrence on Tuesday. Bandouveres led the way with 20 points, while Cedric Lewis had eight. Payne and Mitchell Smith added six points each. Cam Glover had a strong game with four steals and seven assists, and Fynn Arther chipped in with two steals, two blocked shots and six rebounds.
Brunswick is slated to visit Edward Little today.
