DURHAM — The St. John’s School girls basketball team defeated Durham 32- 31 on Thursday.
After falling behind by six points in the opening half (14- 8), the Vikings came out strong, outscoring Durham 24-17.
St. John’s was seven of 13 from the foul line, with Brooke Howard making two with eight seconds remaining to give the Vikings the lead.
High scorers for the Vikings were Howard with 13, Mikayla Pietkiewicz with 10 and Claire Reid with six. Celeste Sturniolo and Summer Becker were also contributors.
For Durham, Nicole Perry had 13 points.
